Maclean Maclean is a quaint village 25 minutes from Iluka, built right on the banks of the Clarence River and is flanked by Maclean Pinnacle. Maclean has a strong Scottish heritage dating back to the 1800’s and proudly heralds this with Clan Tartans painted on the town’s telegraph poles by a local artist. The Easter Highland Gathering is a festival not to be missed, with the haunting sound of bagpipes to stir the blood! Maclean Show day, annual Rodeo, Art & Craft Exhibitions and various festivals all make use of Maclean’s unique Showground by the river. Other interests are Museums, Ferry Park Gallery, Maclean Lookout and the Scottish Cairn.
