Grafton Grafton is also one hour from Iluka, in the opposite direction. Grafton’s claim to fame is the stunning, fluorescent purple Jacaranda trees. A festival based on the flowering season is held in late October. Cedar was the major draw card for settlers here too and the beautiful heritage listed houses from the 19th century are still proudly maintained. One such house is now the Art Gallery and in addition to wonderful local art, Prentice House also boasts a fine café/restaurant of some renown in the valley. Many other popular eateries, art and craft shops and museums may be found in Grafton. Check
